Rehearsal?

No. This step is not necessary and only ads additional to cost to your wedding budget. Let me explain.. I do not hire students or amateur players who picked up violin or cello last month and still figuring out how to play the instrument. I hire professionals who have many years of experience playing instrument on stage in front of an audience as a soloist or a symphony orchestra musician. This takes many years of practice – thousands of hours.  Musicians with such level of expertise do not need to attend a wedding rehearsal. And quite frankly majority of weddings follow the same blue print, so we have seen it many times before. Part of what you are paying for is this experience and knowledge that students and amateur players do not posses and therefore they really out to attend a rehearsal. My fellow professional musicians will attend a rehearsal to please a client if need be, but we would expect to be compensated for it. After all, you wouldn’t expect a florist to give you bouquets of flowers for free to gain your business, right?
